Impspired Title

INSPIRATIONAL POETRY & STUFF

If you’ve read my book of highly emotive and emotional poetry and stuff written under various substance influences in the late sixties and early seventies, between the ages of fourteen and twenty-one, called ‘Adolescent’ - you will have noticed on the front cover the picture below showing me with lots of hair when I was a young ‘Hippy’ who called myself a ‘Happy’ because I chose to suffer from ‘social dyslexia’. You may perhaps have also read my second book of poetry, called ‘Faction’ wherein I focused on some of the daft things that occurred spanning my involvement in politics at all levels, when I was inspired by the thought ‘Is it rebellious to buck against injustice’ – including my early twenties, more seriously twixt 1983 and 1995, and attending to the whims and fancies of a town council in my late fifties, which failed to finish me off – despite their best efforts. It is also a fact that I was married for a total of forty-three years to two wonderful women, several not so wonderful mortgages, a variety of diverse and interesting jobs, and four quite astonishing sons – all of which experiences I loved – most of the time, but which collectively provided a wealth of distractions from writing – the majority of which I’ve managed to attempt before and after these astonishing years of marital commitment, responsibility and bliss. Now that I am that old, fat, bald man (a description proscribed to me by one of my four sons when they reached the age of fourteen) I find that I’m writing volumes and it’s great. I hope you enjoy some of it – it does provide a soupcon of evidence that it actually took a great many years of concentrated effort to achieve old, fat, baldness and that young people should not take that achievement lightly. Anyway, herein is written some more grown-up stuff – arguably.
